The protest was also used to raise money for Gays and Lesbians Opposed to Violence, a DC-area group I wrote about here.

I’m glad you put these videos in that order. That second one is a real palate cleanser to the first; leaves hope that there are – in fact – real Christians who will denounce and hopefully help sway these ignorant factions back to humanity’s side.
Though, I’ve always thought that this point it may be naive to think that it was even within other Christians’ power to curb the hate of the less tolerant ones…especially these kinds:
